Comox is calling

What does one do when one has, for the most part, run out of adventures? What next for when “you’ve seen it before and you’ve done it before?” One option is to more or less give up and just plop down in front of the television until you’re done. But, that largess will only last for so long before you’re raring to go on yet another adventure.

There are some hardy people who will go to any length to find the new “Valhalla” or “Titanic. They will meticulously locate their next destination, watch every YouTube video about the target, return to Mountain Warehouse (one of our valued affiliates, by the way) to buy the kit necessary for the next attempt on, at last, unearthing the equivalent to Tutankhamun, even if the site is only a couple of hours away.

Personally, we like those kinds of people, even if we wouldn’t want to be them. But we do like to watch them. So, as we already live in Canada, the lure to watch “Canada’s Largest Ghost Town Few Have Ever Seen” was going to be like catnip to us. Even more interesting, the video highlights a place called Comox. It’s not too far away from where we reside, but far enough away to not want to drag through the mud and the water.

So, with that preface, sit down and discover Anyox. If you have a boat, you might be able to get there, but it will be a real effort and, to be honest, you might not want to be wandering around land that is not yours. But, it didn’t stop the creators of this video. So, bundle up on your sofa and discover new lands. (PS: There is a part two of this video if you’re interested.) Main image courtesy of the creators.
