Located along FDR Drive in Manhattan, NYC is Waterside Plaza, built on a spit of artificial land. But what many New Yorkers don’t realise is that beneath Waterside Plaza are the remains of a heavily bombed British city. Talk about being off-course. But, history is funny that way. It’s quite an interesting story, given that its’ been quite a long time since the Brits and the Yanks ever had skirmishes (except in football.)
