How could I have missed that? Well, to the point, it got me thinking and, so, I wanted to look into this more.
As it happens, he’s not alone. Top tank museums worldwide feature vast collections of armored vehicles, ranging from early WWI models to modern main battle tanks. Key destinations include The Tank Museum (UK), Kubinka/Patriot Park (Russia), Musée des Blindés (France), and the German Tank Museum, which hold thousands of operational and static armored vehicles. The Tank Museum (Bovington, UK): Known as the world’s largest collection, housing over 300 tanks and armored vehicles from over 30 countries, including the world’s first tank. Kubinka Tank Museum / Patriot Park (Russia): A massive collection often regarded as the best for viewing Russian armor and unique prototypes like the German Panzer VIII Maus. Musée des Blindés (Saumur, France): Considered the largest tank museum in terms of volume, with over 800 armored vehicles. The list goes on and on. And once you confront one of these monsters, you’ll understand why some of us are still entranced, even if the horrors of war should never be “celebrated.”
