As far as we know, this much is true. And, it’s related to a travel company called Blade, hence it appearing here. They rent helicopter, seaplane and or jet services, mostly in New York City. And there was an employee there named Simon McLaren, who was the company’s spokesman.
When journalist Gabrielle Bluestone called the company to find out more about Mr. McLaren, things started to unravel. for three years but who also is not a real person. Blade chief of staff Lee Gold lied to her, claiming to have met McLaren. And they gave him a blog.
