A walk and a cheeky pint

One of the many joys of the United Kingdom is an afternoon walk.  Much of the UK’s land has been set aside for the public to use freely for walking

And, it is a tradition that families do that, usually on a Sunday, and perhaps after a rather over-generous lunch.

The paths are always well-marked, with clear signs and indicators of where to walk and where not to. (A funny anecdote here is that the singer Madonna had a massive residence in Wiltshire, which of course, was discovered, hit the news, and she blew a fuse. Note that she doesn’t live there, anymore.)

But, we digress.  When you next visit the UK, be sure to bring some sturdy shoes and get out there.  You can also buy Ordnance Maps from the UK government to find your way home.  The Guardian also has some top suggestions for you.

Oh, and the main reason for this article is that there is inevitably a pint awaiting you at the end of the walk.  Cheeky!
