Sunset boulevard is dying. Sometimes, you kind of want to not travel anymore. Flights are often a nightmare. Passengers are unruly. Prices are sky-high. And when you finally do hit the ground and head for your final destination, it ends up being a disappointment. Travelers are obnoxious, rude and ruin one event after another. And don’t even get us started when it comes to influencers. Why even bother? This post shows what can happen when swirls collide. Some years ago, I took my son – just the two of us (who was just a teen) to California. We had a fabulous time. The sea, the sun, fabulous people, tacos and more. It was wonderful.
Since then, many decades away, the California that we loved has changed. Not all of California, and not all of the cities, of course. When the video above, courtesy of Yucky Stew, dropped a few days ago, I was shocked and saddened. Sunset Boulevard looked like a DMZ. Litter all around and, even more sad, the tired and boney residents of what was once the place to be. Why? it could be any number of reasons why, but Sunset Boulevard is yet another example of largess, bad planning and too many people. But it may not be too late. Watch the video above.
