I think I can. I think I can

There are few better things in this world than seeing humans at their best. Lately it feels like it’s more miss than hit. But you can never put down the ingenuity and sheer spunk of the true world’s lateral thinkers. Here, the geniuses are from Japan. As you may know, Japan is big on rail, such that Japan, has a massive rail network operated by different companies, primarily the Japan Railways (JR) Group. This JR Group consists of six regional passenger companies (JR Hokkaido, East, Central, West, Shikoku, Kyushu) and one freight company (JR Freight), plus many other private operators. Imagine being the Logistics manager of that.

Not all rail companies are huge in Japan and may have a different focus than the mothership. Some of the smaller rail services have limited budget and limited scale. But that doesn’t mean that they should be relegated to the scrap heap. Not at all. One example is here where they made it happen: make it work or disappear. The company is the Chōshi Electric Railway (or Chōshi Dentetsu), based in Chiba Prefecture, Japan. What was the master stroke? Selling snacks on the trains. Genius! Watch the video above, courtesy of Tanner, who has his channel on Youtube. Fun and inspiring, for sure.
