Another instalment of our continuing series of webcams all across the planet, where you can – in real-time – vicariously relax in a place where you might never have been before. Here, we feature South Africa’s Cape Town, and the lovely Clifton 4th beach. Picture a crescent-shaped strip of soft, powdery white sand bordered by the crystal-clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is nestled between two rocky cliffs that protect it from strong winds, creating a sheltered and tranquil atmosphere.
The beach is divided into four distinct coves, each numbered from 1 to 4. Clifton 4th Beach, the focus of our description, is the most accessible and popular of these coves. It is easily reachable from the main road and has basic amenities such as restrooms and showers nearby, ensuring visitors can comfortably enjoy their day in this paradise.
As you step onto the beach, the first thing that will captivate you is the azure-blue ocean stretching out to the horizon. The waters are refreshingly cool, making it a perfect escape from the heat on a sunny day. However, do note that the Atlantic waters can be quite chilly even in summer, so swimming might be a bit brisk for some. But, for you it’s perfect, as you watch the waves go by from wherever you are right now.
