Elon Musk is loopy
Well, that Elon Musk is always doing something. Whether it’s the reading the entire Encyclopaedia Britannica at nine years old, selling his first company for $307 million, founding PayPal and creating Tesla automobiles and starting SpaceX to send humanity to infinity and beyond.
One of his passions is transportation, and his Hyperloop system is well underway. This ambitious program looks to create underground “railways” that cut inter-city travel to a fraction of the time (and cost) that it takes now. The USA trails most developed countries when it comes to alternatives to the automobile.
The $52.5 million system will serve as a fast way to shuttle convention attendees – in a fraction of the time – throughout the 200-acre-plus campus, 40 feet beneath the ground in all-electric Tesla vehicles.
Vegas Loop will include LVCC Loop and any future service extensions including those to casinos along the Strip, McCarran International Airport, Allegiant Stadium, downtown Las Vegas, and eventually to Los Angeles. Vegas Loop will provide fast and convenient transportation to the Las Vegas community, its visitors, and beyond. Content courtesy of The Boring Company.
