Well, someone has to do it.

We’re pretty sure that the stable genius isn’t going to any thing about it, other than bark “drill baby drill.” So it only makes sense that mother Europe will pick up the toys that you know who threw out of the pram. Just in case you haven’t been paying attention, Solar energy is in a period of significant growth, with global capacity surpassing one terawatt and accounting for over 5% of global electricity generation in 2023. The industry is experiencing rapid expansion, particularly in Asia, due to falling costs and increasing demand for renewable energy.

However, growth rates and solar’s contribution vary widely by region, and challenges remain, including the need for further integration with existing grids and the development of more efficient technologies.  As an example, Canada’s total solar, wind, and storage capacity grew by 46% between 2019 and 2024, for example. Many countries are not waiting around.

Want to find out more, see what’s happening and maybe even visit some solar farms? It’s possible, but you must first check their visitor policies as many are not open to the public due to security and safety reasons. Some solar farms offer tours for students, community events, or general public education, and there are online directories that may help you find one near you.

Solar Farm tours are nearly everywhere. If you want to be part of the mission, there are dozens on locations worldwide. Click here

The irony of this worthy cause is that you might need to use a car to get there. Choose a good one. We recommend Rental Cars. Click here
