Moai are massive monolithic human stone statues carved by the Rapa Nui people on Easter Island between 1250 and 1500 C.E. For almost ever, it has been nearly impossible to visit this singular site. It is too precious and too fragile for just anyone to climb. But, we’re getting smarter these days and Easter Island is no longer verboten.
