We (your editor and his much better half ) have been blessed (and I hate to use that overworked word, but it’s true) in that we have been safe, healthy and full of vigor. We’ve passed the typical mid-way point in life and are still looking for the next location, the next surprise and the next thrill. We hope you are too, before your bones start to complain a little bit as well. Even if we’re not in-flight as we write, it doesn’t mean that our minds aren’t already mid-flight elsewhere to places new.
To sate our hunger for travel, we scour the magazines, read the news and – most of all – spend time on YouTube searching for worthwhile travelogue videos that tempt us to plan for the next (hopefully sunny and warm) clime. There are a number of YouTube channels that are perfect for those of us who are looking for our place in the sun, but one channel that we really like is Jumping Places.
Host couple Chris and Carol are young, curious, open-minded vibrant but never loud, and have a voracious appetite to see the entire planet. Chris is from the UK, Carol from Brasil (but both are based in the UK) and they have compiled one of the most beguiling collection of videos, to our minds. If you want to sit down, have your favourite libation, and get excited about your next destination, they make the perfect travel guides. Highly recommended. See below.
