This post is not a history lesson, but it could end up being one if we humans don’t pay attention to the climate situation. It’s a battle, for sure, as some humans just aren’t listening or taking it seriously. The original battle of Trafalgar was monumental, as well: The Battle of Trafalgar was a naval engagement that took place on 21 October 1805 between the British Royal Navy and the combined fleets of the French and Spanish Navies during the War of the Third Coalition (August–December 1805) of the Napoleonic Wars (1803–1815.)
But jump ahead to now, 2024, and you’ll see that there is another battle looming, and that’s sustainability. Our affiliate friends, Trafalgar Tours know this and are doing their best by unveiling progress that they’ve made in 2023 on the company’s five-year sustainability strategy. TTC Tour Brands completed its first year of the industry-leading Carbon Fund, with each brand contributing to a central pool aimed at reducing Scope 1, 2, and 3 emissions, collecting over $2 million and allocating $1.88 million to various carbon reduction projects planned for 2024. This is one of the first (and most impressive) promises that we’ve seen by travel companies and should be lauded. If you want to know more, click here.
