Ahoy, friends of Japan and rail! We have something rather funny: not your normal post. But, given that our author today, Tanner, is always off to something new. He’s young, funny and always ready for an adventure, just like us. You would expect that a thrusting young adventurer like him would be surfing on the latest tech that the planet has to offer and you’d be right. Not this time, though. He’s slowed down to behold us all with what is ostensibly the slowest train in Japan.
We’ve been on the Shinkansen a couple of times and it was a thrill of a lifetime. The first time you’re standing on the platform and it SCREAMS past you, you will never forget where you were, where you were headed and the knowledge that you want to do it again and again. In this Post, though, Tanner slows it waaaay down. How far? From 320km/hr to 15km/hr. All train buffs will definitely want to do this. And there are so many other rail companies throughout the country, all deserving your love and attention. (Don’t forget the trams!)

You’ll want to get there, of course, our affiliate partners, Klook, can get you there. East meets west, and we’re all winners. Now is one of the better times in human history. It is much easier to get around, compared to decades past. Technology is, let’s face it, amazing. And, in many cases, prices are aimed at nearly everyone’s pocket. Yes, the world is generally getting richer, with global wealth increasing significantly over the past few decades. However, this growth is not evenly distributed, and wealth inequality is also on the rise. While the overall wealth of the planet is increasing, a large portion of the world’s population still struggles with poverty. To look and book at Klook’s bevy of options. Click here
