One thing that Europe doesn’t lack is history. It’s been around forever, it feels like. Actually, though, the history of Europe is traditionally divided into four time periods: prehistoric Europe (prior to about 800 BC), classical antiquity (800 BC to AD 500.) What is even more amazing than that, is that so much European history exists for you to see, visit and even touch. And, Europeans know what they have with their history, and, so, do their best to maintain and promote what the continent has to offer.
One of which is simply the buildings. For example, the Naveta des Tudons [‘The Vessel of Woodpigeons’] is the oldest edification built by humans in Europe. Located in the Ciutadella municipality, this example of Minorcan architecture is in excellent condition and one of the most important and beautiful monuments on the island.
But, today we’re discussing not only old buildings, we’re talking about buildings that you can touch, buildings that are still extant. And, even better than that, places where you can stay.
