Meet joy Jetson.

Look! Up in the sky. It’s a bird! It’s plane. No it’s joy Jetson. Unless you’ve been sleeping under a rock for the past ten to 15 years, you’ll know that China has leap-frogged pretty much everyone over pretty much everything. For example, over the past 8–10 years (roughly 2016–2026), China has executed an unprecedented, state-led mobilization of resources, achieving rapid dominance in green energy, high-speed rail, and space exploration while entirely eliminating absolute poverty. Key highlights include building the world’s largest EV market, the Baihetan Dam, and constructing over 40,000 km of high-speed rail. And it will work well. So is it any wonder that they’re taking to the skies, as well? Watch the video below: see the future

While the world is increasingly connected by rail, there are still approximately 25 to 30 countries with no operational railway network at all, and dozens more where the service is considered poor, defunct, or extremely limited. As of April 2026, the global rail landscape can be broken down into three categories of

rail scarcityThese nations have never had a railway or have completely dismantled what they once had. The reasons range from extreme geography to a heavy reliance on road networks. Iceland, Andorra, Malta, San Marino, Kuwait, Yemen, Oman, Qatar who are Traditionally road-dominated; however, Oman, Kuwait are currently building new lines. Bhutan, Nepal (limited), Timor-Leste is another. Belize, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago. Rwanda, Burundi, Somalia, Niger have their own solutions to find. But, the bottom line is that more must be done and soon. At this rate of adoption, we may be just in time to step into one of China’s Flying cars. Watch the video above, courtesy of Al Jazeera.
