The Golden Rule: You can run forward and kick forward, but you can only pass the ball backward or sideways.
Continuous Play: When a player is tackled, the game doesn’t stop. They must release the ball, and teammates from both sides compete for possession in a “ruck.” The Set Pieces: You’ve likely seen the Scrum (where players bind together and push) and the Lineout (where players are hoisted into the air to catch a throw).
