How to Amtrak

Yes, yes . . we know. That headline is not The King’s “well English” but maybe it caught your attention. So, with no further ado, we will leap headfirst into yet another rail post. As we often say, rail travel is the future and the present in some places. In other places, maybe not so much, those places mostly being the USA who still (in many instances) refuse to park their cars and take a relaxing ride home on a comfortable, economical and – most of all – green solution in helping to save this Earth. For those of us who love rail, this must sound like “blah blah blah,” but us believers need to do our part to tip the scales.

If you’re in the USA, it’s not too late. You can still do the right thing and become a rail zealot, too. Try it once and you’ll see what we mean. Imagine not having to queue up on the motorway for 90 minutes because the roads are clogged. Imagine being to read the news on the way home. Can you already feel the liberation? The joy? The relaxation. Ahhhhh.

So how and where do you start? Well Amtrak, in their wisdom, have been doing the planning and laying the lines that will cajole you into not only trying rail, but actually loving it and it preferring it. Watch the first of many teaser videos from Amtrak to say “Hello” and introduce you to a new way forward. We’ll add more of these shorts as they come along.

Our affiliate friends, OMIO, have rail options worldwide, including Amtrak. Click here to book your train.
