… and she is terminally pretty (see video below.) Well, as you’ll know if you frequent our site, we travel a lot, and as part of that, we inevitably need to stay overnight somewhere. Naturally. You will also know that we love architecture, especially architecture in which we can reside. It could be a rental, but it is, most often, a hotel. So, finding a place that ticks all of our very specific boxes requires being a bit of a sleuth. And, much like most of life nowadays, if you have a certain lust for life, or simply want something more, something unique, you need to look a little further afield.
Happily, we’re happy to do that for you. We scour the internet every day to see what’s new, what’s different and what you should be aware of. It’s fun – we love it – and we think that we deliver our fair share of surprises, rather than the same old same old.
So – to the point. We recently discovered the MS Milenium Monterrey Curio Collection by Hilton and – wow! Talk about design. Citizen Kane would want to move in to this stellar example of brutalist architecture. I know I would. Part of the Curio Collection by Hilton, this stunning building has classic-style décor inside, to soften the stern exterior (which we love!) It makes us wonder why more and more designers are not more and more daring in their work. We’re sure most want to be, but the big corporate thumbs often squash their ambitions. So, from us, a big huzzah to Hilton for its forward thinking by leaping into the past and making this smashing hotel an destination in itself.
