Been there. Dundas.

We live in Canada, but have lived and traveled all around the globe for decades. The country is still somewhat of a haven if you want to bask in common sense, politeness, and general good vibes. There are many cities in The Great White North, but most of the accolades go to the big cities: Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary etc. So, we happened upon this rather nice video about a rather nice place in Canada: Dundas.

Dundas, Ontario, is a charming visit thanks to its stunning natural beauty within the Niagara Escarpment, offering incredible views from Dundas Peak, waterfalls like Tews & Webster Falls, and extensive trails in areas like Spencer Gorge. Visitors also love its historic, picturesque downtown with unique shops, art galleries (like the Carnegie Gallery), local breweries, and diverse restaurants, all set in a tight-knit community feel.

The video really gives you a good idea about the place and it might just give you the little push that you need to stretch from the sofa and explore the planet. And, why not save the planet by taking rail to Dundas. For passenger travel, you’d take a regional GO Transit train to nearby Hamilton (like Hamilton GO Centre) and then a bus or short ride to Dundas itself, as Dundas doesn’t have its own major passenger station.
