Back in the USSA

We love the Beatles. Have even seen some of them live. One of the songs that we have lodged in our brains is Back in the USSR. Playful, joyous and super catchy. Kind of some of the positive elements we need nowadays. After pondering the song, I wondered if there’s a way to take elements of the song and merge it into a travel post. Stick with me. So, in the first part of the song, Paul McCartney flew into Miami Beach (BOAC) ✔, didn’t get to bed last night. He had a dreadful flight, but he’s back in the USSR. You don’t know how lucky you are. Still, the Ukraine girls really knocked him out. And Moscow girls made him sing and shout, about Georgia being on his mind. Did this all happen? Did he visit these places? Did he take these flights. This all could be plausible. Let’s let our minds wander, shall we? But more to the point for our readers, is this “a thing” in 2026? Florida offers world-class beaches, featuring pristine white sand on the Gulf Coast and lively shores on the Atlantic. Top-ranked spots include Siesta Beach for its cool quartz sand, Opal Beach for serene emerald waters, and South Beach for its vibrant atmosphere. Other top choices include DestinNaples, and the scenic Canaveral National Seashore.

Start with flights. Yes BOAC was a thing, still is a thing, but it’s now British Airways (one of our affiliates.) ✔ In fact, British Airways operates frequent direct flights to Miami. As of 2026, the service is a staple of their long-haul network, primarily flying out of London Heathrow (LHR) into Miami International Airport (MIA). Frequency: British Airways typically operates a double-daily service between London and Miami. Partner Codeshares: Because British Airways is part of the oneworld alliance, you will also see codeshare flights operated by American Airlines on this same route, giving you even more time-slot options throughout the day.

Flight Duration: The average non-stop flight time is approximately 9 hours and 30 minutes westbound (London to Miami) and about 8 hours and 30 minutes eastbound (Miami to London). That gives you enough time to have the paper bag on his knee, and that might be a dreadful flight. ✔ OK, for the next leg. Would the Ukraine girls really knock him out? But, of course. Finally, Ukraine boasts stunning, historic, and scenic destinations, ranging from the medieval charm of Lviv and the coastal beauty of Odessa to the cultural richness of Kyiv and the natural grandeur of the Carpathian Mountains. Top sites include the Kamianets-Podilskyi Fortress, Sofiyivskyi Park, and the Chernivtsi University, offering a mix of architecture, nature, and history.

We don’t know about you, but we believe him: he’s Paul Fricking McCartney. Things may have changed, but you can still trust British Airways (BOAC) with modern jets, Loads of destinations & sensible prices. Click here
