A flame by any other name

OK, if you’re history-averse, it’s time to walk away right now. (As a matter of fact, if you’re history-averse, why are you even on this site?) History is pretty much all we talk about, and proud of it. There’s a lot of history out there in the world. But this particular post highlights another one of those places “out there” in locations that may not pop up in your mind as “a destination.” The funny thing is, though, the more you explore, the more you see and the more you see, the more you want to see. You step out of one location, and then – hey presto! – you’re in another place. If you’re an old geezer like us, you’ll probably know all of this logic without us having to elaborate. We’ll go no further with the prologue.
