OK, if you’re history-averse, it’s time to walk away right now. (As a matter of fact, if you’re history-averse, why are you even on this site?) History is pretty much all we talk about, and proud of it. There’s a lot of history out there in the world. But this particular post highlights another one of those places “out there” in locations that may not pop up in your mind as “a destination.” The funny thing is, though, the more you explore, the more you see and the more you see, the more you want to see. You step out of one location, and then – hey presto! – you’re in another place. If you’re an old geezer like us, you’ll probably know all of this logic without us having to elaborate. We’ll go no further with the prologue.
So, prepare yourself for what might be your next favorite museum: The Hall of Flame Fire Museum in Phoenix, Arizona. Phoenix is a hot place as it is, and fire can often be a way of life there. So, rather than shudder at the thought of flames, why not grasp it, if not even celebrate it?
Meet the National Historical Fire Foundation (better known as the Hall of Flame Museum of Firefighting.) It’ s a museum dedicated to the historical preservation of firefighting equipment used through the years around the world. Honestly, discovering genuine history is far more enjoyable than many might think. And the Hall of Flame Museum is just that.
