To err is human. To loaf is Parisian.

Either way, you can’t go amiss. And speaking of “go,” there is no better time to consider going to Paris, even if you’ve been before. First of all, the Grand Dame, Notre Dame will be ready to greet you soon. After the horrific fire on 15 April 2019, this most stunning and truly unforgettable icon is now ready to say hello to you once more.

Alternately, another top idea is to grab a chair and park yourself at the Paris Jazz Festival. This annual summer event presents a mélange of free jazz concerts in the gorgeous surroundings of the Parc Floral. Sets take place every Saturday and Sunday during June and July.

The concerts begin at 3pm or 4pm and are open with no charge to all those who have paid the regular park entry fee. Arrive in plenty of time to ensure that you get one of the 1,500 seats available or prepare a picnic (avec vin, bien sur) and relax by the park’s miniature lake.
