You’re a star

Once again, forgive us for yet another rail post. Rail is the past, present and future. It solves so many problems all at once: #1. it’s fast: the Shanghai Maglev has a top speed of 460 km/h (286 mph.) You might not even be able to see your shadow. And, they’re comfortable, with relaxing, reclining seats, power outlets and desks for your power meetings. You can get up and walk around. There are large and clean toilet facilities. Many have onboard Wi-Fi. And, as the world wakes up to rail and basks in its brilliance, more and more routes will magically appear. You don’t want to miss out on that, do you? Consider yourself ahead of the curve.

But, here, we want to pause, bow our heads and give thanks, love and kisses to where it all started, The Eurostar. Eurostar services officially began on November 14, 1994, initially connecting London’s Waterloo International station with Paris Gare du Nord and Brussels-South railway station. This followed the completion of the Channel Tunnel in 1993, which made the high-speed cross-Channel rail link possible. One of its biggest, and often overlooked benefits was Direct City Centre to City Centre Travel: This was the most significant advantage. Unlike air travel, which involves journeys to and from airports outside the city, Eurostar delivered passengers directly into the heart of London, Paris, and Brussels, saving considerable time and hassle.

Well, now it’s 2025, the Eurostar is still blazing its way across Europe and beyond, even taking your car with you. And, bien sur, it’s waiting for you. Our travel pals, OMIO have got your Eurostar tickets. To book, click here.
