What? Were you born under a rock?

As the prophets (and the tax inspectors) like to remind us, you’ve got to live somewhere. There are taxes, fees and levies that need to be taken care of, even if you’re not brimming with cash and barely siphon off a wee bit of civic services, assuming the powers that be even drip feed the residents their due. It happens everywhere. All most of us want is a roof over our heads and value for our tax payer money. Well, here’s a video that

kind of covers both concerns. When you live in a very old part of a very cold (and settled) country, anything goes . . literally. How about literally living under a rock? Welcome to Setenil de las bodegas, a place that is exactly that;  a pueblo (town) and municipality in the province of Cádiz, Spain, famous for its dwellings built into a rock that hangs above the Río Guadalporcún river. According to the 2005 census, the town has a population of more than 3,016 inhabitants. You can’t miss it.

The ever adventuresome Tim Traveler (above) stopped by to make sure that it was real and legitimate. As ever, Tim always finds a way to add a clever and funny twist to his videos, and this one is no different. Enjoy!
