“What else is there to do?”

Your editor grew up in the eastern United States, and then, mercifully, escaped. To be honest, in many of those parts of the USA, there is very little to do. And, even if you’ve done the entire round of attractions there, you might walk away feeling a bit underwhelmed. But that’s life, isn’t it? You can’t always get what you want. As you’ll see above, though, there are still some hearty souls who do what they think is right.

More power to them as long as the intentions are good. We’re still scratching our heads about this post’s topic: a Buddhist temple smack in the middle of Minnesota, possibly one the mildest and “American” places that you kind find in the States.

After some research, though, it transpires that the number of Buddhists in the USA is estimated to be around 1% of the adult population, according to the Pew Research Center. This translates to roughly 3.3 million people based on the 2020 US adult population. Maybe they’re on to something and we should eat crow.
