We need more planes, Captain!

Pity the poor airlines over the last few years. Things were hunky dory until Covid came along in 2020 and turned the world upside-down. And, now that Covid is more or less a horrible memory, the airlines are trying to ramp up their service again. During Covid, many pilots left their jobs, or the airlines had to force redundancies in their crews due to air travel dwindling down to a trickle of flights due to no demand. It was a horrible time for travel.

Jump ahead to 2023 (as we write this post and,) for the most part, air travel is starting to get back off of its knees. While 2021 was still stuck by travel restrictions, turbulence gradually dwindled in 2022 as more and more passengers returned to the skies. People have started flying again. But now another bit of turbulence has hampered the smooth flying experience that we once knew: a shortage of aircraft. When will it end??
