If you’re a regular reader of our site, you’ll notice that we feature content about Richard Branson and his Virgin empire. He never sits still – his latest venture is a Mach 3 airliner. And he always tries to instill a feeling of fun in all that he does.
With that in mind, did you know that in the 1990’s, he was behind another venture – Vintage Airways? And, it’s exactly what it sounds like – flying, once again, in classic aircraft. While Vintage Airways wasn’t a commuter airline, it was often mistaken for one. It operated 1940s-themed nostalgia air tour flights between Orlando and Key West, Florida, USA.
We here at Matouring wonder why this idea can’t be attempted, again. There are legions of classic aircraft fans out there – including us – who would be thrilled to board these legends of the skies.
