We all do. For some reason, we’re rather amiss in the UNESCO posts that we have been featuring off and on In the past. So, in this post, we’re going to not only refresh the intent, but we also will entice you with ways to support this vital and engaging organisation. As a refresher, start here: UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, is a specialized agency of the United Nations that was established in 1945, in the aftermath of World War II. Its foundational belief, enshrined in its constitution, is that “since wars begin in the minds of men and women, it is in the minds of men and women that the defenses of peace must be present. We all must do our part.

When the world is not at each other’s throats, UNESCO is key to Building Peace and Fostering International Cooperation: At its core, UNESCO’s mission is to promote peace and security through international collaboration in education, the sciences, culture, and communication. By fostering mutual understanding, respect for justice, the rule of law, human rights, and fundamental freedoms, it aims to prevent conflicts and build a more peaceful world.
