Here we go again. Talking about saving the planet in one way or another: whatever works. We won’t nag on about that if we keep on with this bad behavior as humans, there won’t be any place or any person to cry to.
Well, thank goodness, there are like minded planet savers everywhere, and in places where you might least expect it. Today’s Star is Chile. Hey America. Chile has undertaken a massive, multi-billion dollar effort to revitalize its national rail network, strategically linking this infrastructure improvement to its ambitious carbon neutrality and environmental sustainability goals.

The core of this effort is the “Chile Sobre Rieles” (Chile on Rails) program, a long-term plan (originally $5 billion, now expanded) designed to make rail the backbone of sustainable transport. Huzzah Chile! Show the polluters what you know and what they don’t. Who will be crying in the end?
