We love France. We have been since we first set foot in the country, when we lived in the UK and getting across from England to Calais the via the Channel tunnel (Chunnel) made it so simple and pleasurable to drop everything and go at a whim. Not much has changed since then and even the thought of going still sends shivers down your editor’s spine. It’s a long video but it really gets your juices going, ready for the trip.
So, while searching for new content for the site, a video we happened across appeared. It’s a simple drive from Calais off into the rest of France, by car. But it’s quite a distance. We spent some time yesterday ambling alongside the driver, imagining that it was us speeding down the always excellent French motorways. It certainly brought back memories.
