If you read our site often, you’ll know how much we love history, especially if it is one that you can touch and admire from close-up, rather than afar. And, unlike many travel choices, what you see is what you get. No tampering, no shifty “enhancements.” No virtual reality. It’s what makes traveling back in time so much fun.

But, since it’s time that has come and gone, how do we know if it’s the truth, rather than some big tale? In most situations, the science boffins have done the job to prove as much as they can. They can take sample from the rocks, or dig into esoteric written volumes to compare and contrast. And, when they find something new, it’s super thrilling to those of us who love going back in time.
