Ta da! Finally! It’s about time.

America has finally built a beautiful Airport. (That’s great, but would you expect it to be in Oregon of all places? We sure wouldn’t.) Hey, what do we know? Watch more courtesy of the always excellent B1M.

You might wonder why a laid-back place like Portland would want all of the hassle. Here’s why. It significantly increases capacity to accommodate 35 million passengers annually by 2045. The expansion offers a more modern and less stressful passenger experience with features like natural light, greenery, and open spaces.

The terminal incorporates sustainable materials and practices, including a mass timber roof canopy built from locally sourced wood. Finally, the design includes public spaces for events and gatherings, making it a civic space for the community.
