. . have all the luck. And one such person is the ever-affable Sam Chui. He has the time and the cash (it appears) to treat himself to some of the world’s best adventures. One thing about Sam is that he is also an Av Geek (someone who loves aviation) and that’s what this particular post is all about.
Another big plus, at least for the purposes of this post is that Sam is treating himself to a flight with Lufthansa. We’re big fans of the company, not the least that above and beyond being an excellent company with an excellent safety record, they also still fly the Boeing 747, which flies over our office here in Vancouver every day. Thrilling!
A large component of this post is indeed about Lufthansa, but it’s also about one of their offshoot airlines, Eurowings. We’ve featured them in the past and still follow the airline and use them when we can.

Eurowings is good solution for air travel in Europe, particularly for budget-conscious travelers and those seeking direct routes within the continent. The airline has a broad network of destinations across Europe, including popular tourist destinations and smaller cities. This can provide convenient direct routes that may not be available with other airlines. Eurowings often focuses on point-to-point connections, meaning more direct flights and fewer layovers. And, they fly Airbus A319, A320, and A321 planes, which we very much like. Prices are very good, indeed, as well. Why not give them a try?
Another big feature is their Flex Light ticket, which allows changes to your booking up to 40 minutes before departure. And the change of booking is free for the first change. Nice! Click here.
