You may think you have it all, and maybe you do. But can you top this?
As the world heaves and pushes and pulls and demands ever more, what do you do to ensure that you’re at the top of the luxury pile? Simple. Build your own Electric Rail system. The design is genius. It uses existing rail lines and pretty much has the line to itself. The cost of designing, building and maintaining of the line does not expend into the billions. Since it’s your rail line, you also can boast that you are the the sole rider. Watch above and keep your envy in check. Not everyone has this kind of vision. We salute you Paul.WTrainer
One hitch is that it only goes from Santa Cruz to Watsonville. Where? Watsonville is a city in Santa Cruz County, California, in the Monterey Bay Area of the Central Coast of California. The population was 52,590 at the 2020 census. Predominantly Latino and Democratic, Watsonville is a self-designated sanctuary city.

The real Santa Cruz Branch Rail Line runs from Davenport to Watsonville, parallel to Highway 1 and the coast. It’s a 32-mile transportation corridor with potential for increased freight and passenger rail service, as well as a bicycle and pedestrian path. The Zero Emission Passenger Rail and Trail Project (ZERTP) aims to provide high-capacity, zero-emission passenger rail service and connect it with a 12-mile Coastal Rail Trail segment.
