Rue Cler. See you there.

Life is full of little delights, as long as you actually stop to smell the roses, or the cheeses in this case. Many many decades ago, your editor, family in tow, took my first real adventure into Europe. My ever-adventuresome parents used to take us kids (my brother and sisters) all over the UK, since that’s where they were from. My much younger sister and I just sat in the back of a car and took it all in, even though we had little reference as to where we were going on that particular day. But, it was still an epiphany and has guided the four of us to enthusiastically travel all over the globe, which we have and will continue to do.

So, back to this post’s subject. Once your editor, my family in tow now, finally made the leap into Europe, there was no turning back. (Travel is in my son’s blood too.) And one of the initial forays was a week-long adventure in Paris, where we first fell in love with Mother Europe. That nascent exposure was a little neighbourhood called Rue Cler. We had booked in advance a small hotel – and we do mean small – room. The hotel itself was called the Hotel Du Champs de Mar. Tiny doesn’t describe it, but we fell in love and that kick-started my love of travel, mostly Europe. Click here.

So imagine my surprise when, only yesterday, Rick uploaded a video about that lovely community. Have a look, above. You’ll sense his love of the area and you might find yourself there one day, too. Merci, Rick. To book, Click here.
