Like a child who hasn’t quite learned how to calm down and behave, some countries have had to give long thoughts about travelers and tourism. For example, in 2024, Europe saw 747 million international arrivals, a significant recovery from pre-pandemic levels, with strong intraregional demand and all European subregions surpassing 2019 levels except for Central and Eastern Europe.


With those numbers, this can easily be a boon or a bust. Right now, the trend is toward bust, with too many people and not enough resources. But Europe will prevail, as it has for hundreds of years.
