… we might get these toys over on our side of the pond. Are you listening, Renault? Even though we don’t drive all that much anymore here on the west coast of North America, that doesn’t mean that we still can’t drool over the cars from The Motherland. It’s been many years since the names Renault or Peugeot or Opel have graced these shores. And you can be sure that there are plenty of us who would happily plop the down payment on the table with no hesitation to see it happen again to make it so.
But, that’s a long, long road with many a winding turn i.e. it’s not likely. Those of us who manage to spend time in Europe or Asia (and south America) who boast cars like Renault, Fiat, and modified brands like Chevrolet.) All are modified for their own countries.


The UK’s WhatCar? have recently unveiled the New Renault 5 for that part of the planet. Speaking of the planet, it’s electric and it’s been shaped to evoke the old wobbly, rusty and slow model. RIP.
(We had one once. See above. It was an experience, but we loved it still. That was the 1970’s. This is now.
