Finding the Holy Grail would be, well . . . like finding the Holy Grail.
For background, The Holy Grail (French: Saint Graal, Breton: Graal Santel, Welsh: Greal Sanctaidd, Cornish: Gral) is a treasure that serves as an important motif in Arthurian literature. Different traditions describe it as a cup, dish or stone with miraculous powers that provides eternal youth or sustenance in infinite abundance, often in the custody of the Fisher King. The term “holy grail” is often used to denote an elusive object or goal that is sought after for its great significance.
But, as we assume will be no surprise to our erudite readers, every time we hear of another claim of it being found, rather than scoffing at it and calling it rubbish, we find that find (?) actually has some merit and is not just another ruse.
This BBC video presents one such “claim” from the Valencia Cathedral in Spain, where much of the evidence stacks up. Definitely worth your while watching.
