We imagine that some of you are real adventurers. You’ve seen the Eiffel Tower more times than you’d care to count (as spectacular as it is.) But, your quest for travel and new experiences always keeps you thirsty for a place that, perhaps, not many people have heard of. And, with that, perhaps not many people will visit, giving you the time and the space to breathe it all in.
Well, we have a place for you. Nan Madol. It’s an archaeological site adjacent to the eastern shore of the island of Pohnpei, now part of the Madolenihmw district of Pohnpei state in the Federated States of Micronesia in the western Pacific Ocean. Nan Madol was the capital of the Saudeleur Dynasty until about 1628. It has only periodically been visited – usually by the locals – but by adventurers such as you and the National Geographic’s Albert Lin. Watch the video below to learn about this most sacred and special – in the truest sense of the world – place.
