Ta-da. Another video on history. (It’s our bailiwick.) We were watching a video on YouTube yesterday that featured “1940s California. It features a soundtrack, with some pedestrians, a few cars and a whole lot of trains. First of all, this pleased us, in that the trains were the stars of the show. And not just any trains. It was passenger trains filled with commuters. And not just one or two trains trundling by, but a hoard of them flying past, leaving the remaining few cars in the dust. It made us wonder where we went wrong as a civilization.
It made us ponder where this side of the earth went astray when it comes to commuting. No wonder The Californians were ahead of their time. They still are in many ways. Sit back, stock yourself with a nice cold beer that you could be drinking instead of being stuck in traffic. (Note: The rail in this video stops at just after 4 minutes)
