Medieval nights

As you most likely know, Europe is filled with history.  Right at your fingertips, you can touch – and even spend the night – in buildings that are hundreds, if not thousands, of years old.  In some cities, you literally bump into one incredible structure after another.  The fact that Europe still has so many of its wonders is a wonder in itself.

Perhaps one of the most amazing is the small town of Monteriggioni.

A comune in the province of Siena in the Italian region of Tuscany, Monteriggioni is a medieval walled town, located on a natural hillock, built by the Sienese in 1214–19 as a front line in their wars against Florence,[5] by assuming command of the Via Cassia running through the Val d’Elsa and Val Staggia to the west.

Known as the only complete walled town in Europe that is still complete, Monteriggioni is a chance for you to almost step back into time.
