Lettuce Pray.

Or, 8 Things Not to Eat at the Cruise Ship Buffet. We never thought that we’d be writing about something as mundane as lettuce. Stereotypically, cruising on the high seas is synonymous with overindulgence: relaxing, gambling and especially eating and drinking. But, when you have a look next time, take a peek at the buffet. It’s likely that lettuce sits loud and proud on the the table. For many cruisers, when it comes to getting their fill of good eats, they head straight for the buffet. Don’t let the high seas become high seas disease. Observe Food Handling: Pay attention to how food is handled and presented. Avoid Contaminated Areas: Avoid touching buffet items with your bare hands. Use the serving utensils provided. While there are always some risks associated with foodborne illness, eating lettuce on a cruise ship is generally safe if the cruise line adheres to proper food safety standards.
