Kursaal. And not curse all, at all.

Being of “that age”, we were recently grooving on YouTube to some high-energy pub rock by the long-missed band, Dr. Feelgood. Lost somewhere in the mists of “New Wave and Punk” they played a beyond-energetic mélange of all of those styles and more. For some reason they never really hit the heights of their peers. Still, they can still kick it out nowadays. Play it for anyone who wants it loud and fast, Dr. Feelgood. were it.

Now, to the point of the post. As bands do, they tour. One such place was Kursaal. Now here’s where it gets a bit confusing/interesting. Kursaal, is a place in Interlaken, Switzerland. It’s also  a council ward in Southend-on-Sea, Essex, England. It can also be the Kursaal Congress Centre and Auditorium, a convention centre in San Sebastián, Spain. We’re not done yet. It is also Kursaal, in Interlaken, Switzerland. Take a breath now.

It’s also Royal Hall, Harrogate, previously named the Kursaal. Want some more? It was even the Dome Cinema, Worthing, UK previously named the Kursaal. Gasp. Finally, you may have seen it once before as Villa Marina, Isle of Man, previously named the Kursaal. And, finally (we promise) it was The Kursaal Flyers, an English pub rock band. Have we forgotten any? Looking for something to do? Why not visit them all?

Chances are excellent that you won’t find Dr. Feelgood here. You could look under the chairs, we suppose.
