The construction of Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport is a significant infrastructure project in Australia, and its rationale goes beyond immediate statistical needs.
Here’s a breakdown of the key reasons: Sydney’s existing airport, Kingsford Smith Airport (SYD), is nearing its capacity. It is also designed to cater to the projected future growth of Sydney and the surrounding regions. Also, the airport is expected to be a major economic driver for Western Sydney, creating jobs and stimulating investment in the region. That’s a lot to chew on and, spend even more on.
