Not to pick on any particular travel company: if you think about it, can you imagine the logistical nightmares that airlines and cruises have to contend with on a daily basis? Sure, most have been doing this for years, but can they really plan for each eventuality, especially when there are so many moving parts (humans being the main components) that are merciless in their unpredictability? So many travel companies do a genuinely good job with the tens of thousands of people that they have to shuttle around the planet everyday: kudos to you all!
But, there are some that just don’t quite seem to get customer service. Or maybe they don’t care (although that’s unlikely.) Here, we’d like to feature a European airlines that you may know. Luggage company Trifibre commissioned some research. Following a freedom of information request to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the firm has revealed which airlines receive the most complaints, and how many of those claims are successful. And who do you think won / lost? We’ll give you some hints: they’re based in Ireland, are known for low prices, but also for the ire that they sometimes bring to their customers. Here’s a hint: they’re not easyJet. Yes, you’ve probably guessed: the worst airline for damaging your luggage is… Ryanair!
