As they say, you’ve got to live somewhere, and maybe it’s not your place of choice. “I didn’t ask to be born.” So here is a somewhat cautionary tale if you travel wide and far. World globetrotter and YouTube creator, Davud Akhundzada if not by now already, must be really close to having traveled everywhere. He captures it in his You tube videos, which are always comprehensive: he’s super thorough at showing you how things are, from rooms in Yemen to Bali, warts and all. His are not wild, hanging from the ceiling ADHD videos like so many that are online nowadays. Watching his videos gives you the real deal. Well worth watching if you’re a world nomad. and looking for your next destination.
In the video above, Davud ventures to the Pyramids in Egypt and has to fend off an army of hustlers. If you think you’ll be visiting places where Davud has already been, watch this video on how to handle the persistent, but well-meaning vendors that you’ll certainly encounter everywhere on the planet but, in this case, it’s Egypt. Top tip: take a bit of US currency, even single dollar bills to simply to ward off the swarm. But here, the target is Davud’s bracelet. Let the bartering begin. Who are you betting on? We have a good idea who’ll prevail.
