“Ho’i Hou Ke Aloha”

In the wake of the ongoing human maelstrom and the resulting horrific state of the planet and, even worse, its people, Hawaii in particular has had a rough time, still shaking and recovering as Mother Nature also continues to rumble. She is having her say about the planet and how we humans treat it. So, we feel that Hawaii’s situation needs another look.

In the wake of the terrible devastation and horrific state of the planet and, even worse, its people, Hawaii has had a rough time, and is still shaking and recovering as Mother Nature also shakes and has her say about the planet.

We feel like Hawaii’s situation needs another look. Shaping the state back into the wonderful image that it was. (For background, In early August 2023, a series of wildfires broke out in the U.S. state of Hawaii, predominantly on the island of Maui. The wind-driven fires prompted evacuations and caused widespread damage, killing at least 102 people and leaving two people missing in the town of Lahaina on Maui’s northwest coast.)

For example, the historic town of Lahaina, a significant cultural and tourist hub, suffered extensive damage, with numerous homes and businesses destroyed. Research has shown that many residents have been forced to leave Maui, causing a population decline, and a loss of income to the Hawaiian economy.
