Hipsters, influencers and luvvies . .

The world has its eyes on you! European cities intend to slap hefty fees on tourists — here’s what it’ll cost if you’re caught wearing flip flops. Enough is enough! Who do you think you are even? Popular tourist destinations in European cities are combatting mass tourism by slapping some ridiculous, yet costly fines — some rising into the thousands — on visitors they deem unwanted. Wearing flip flops while driving, taking a shell or pebble from a beach and unbuckling your seatbelt before the plane stops taxiing and the doors open, can now cost you. Not paying attention? You snooze you lose, losers. Grow up and behave. No-one likes you.

Those luvvies who wear a bathing suit away from the beach in the cities of Barcelona, Albufeira, Split, Sorrento, Cannes and Venice could face fines of up to $1,747, according to the BBC. In Mallorca, Ibiza, Magaluf and the Canary Islands, drinking booze on the street can set tourists back $3,495 and in Spain, leaving your towel to hold your pool chair for too long can cost almost $300. For a truly quiet beach experience in Europe, consider Dobrec Beach in Montenegro. It’s a secluded spot accessible primarily by boat, making it a peaceful escape. Alternatively, Karpas Peninsula in North Cyprus, particularly Golden Beach, offers a serene, less crowded beach experience with beautiful scenery.
